To help you more easily navigate the thousands of hours of content offered at SAP TechEd, you can quickly identify sessions by Hot Topic, which are key topics that span multiple tracks. This year’s Hot Topics include:
SAP TechEd is SAP's premier technology education conference – created expressly for technologists, developers, and engineers.
The content is organized across nine tracks, specifically designed for job profiles. Additionally, major hot topics that span multiple tracks have been defined to simplify content access.
Review our session types and policies for more details and tips on getting those coveted workshop seats.
Our two-hour and four-hour hands-on workshops are instructor-led and may include hands-on learning and applicable exercises. Two students share one laptop. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the workshop. Advance sign-up is required for reserved seating.
Fully paid, Full Conference SAP TechEd registrants may reserve seats for up to two hands-on workshops on a first-come, first-served basis. Hands-on workshop sign up and a personal agenda builder is tentatively scheduled to open August 26th. Full Conference registrants will receive an email confirming the exact day and time within one week of the launch.
Bring your own device for the hands-on workshop exercises – as a way to reduce paper consumption and to save the environment. We will send out detailed information and instructions on how to download the hands-on exercises to your own tablet, when we get closer to the conference.
Please plan to sign up as early as possible to reserve a seat. Review the session details for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend. Please note: A hands-on workshop reservation only guarantees you a seat if you show up on time for the session. Your best bet will be to arrive no later than 5 minutes before the scheduled session start time, because once the session starts, we'll release any open seats to those on the wait list.
Full Conference registrants may also attend any hands-on workshop with open seats, including audit seats, at the start of the workshop on a first-come, first-served basis. Audit seats allow you to simply observe a workshop from the back of the room.
Seating for the following sessions is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Seats in these sessions cannot be reserved. However, you will be able to add them to your personal agenda approximately one month before the conference.
Our one-hour and two-hour lecture sessions are instructor-led and may include in-depth Microsoft PowerPoint presentations and/or online demonstrations. Review the session details for any prerequisites to ensure you are fully qualified to attend. The instructor may offer time for questions and open discussion at the end of the session. Lecture Sessions will be located off the show floor and held in session rooms in the Venetian Palazzo Congress Center (VPCC) levels 2-4.
Road map Q&A sessions focus on specific product road maps that are covered at a high level in the lecture sessions. They will be located on the show floor.
These 30-minute, face-to-face, small-group discussions take place on the show floor, and are hosted by a wide variety of speakers and experts.
Our mini editions of SAP CodeJam give participants an opportunity to meet one on one with SAP development experts, connect with other developers, share knowledge, and have a little fun coding! They will be located on the show floor.
An opportunity for attendees to openly review and discuss real code, share knowledge, improve designs, and expand their capabilities. Participants work collaboratively to assess real code examples - provided by SAP employees and even attendees - and evaluate the good, the bad, and the ugly in an interactive environment. They will be located on the show floor.
A week prior to the event, we will email registrants with information about how and where to download the presentations and exercises for lecture sessions and hands-on workshops. Full conference registrants will also receive session presentations on a USB drive when they check in on site.
Session capacity is strictly limited to the seating capacity of the classroom. We will not permit overcrowded or standing-room-only classrooms.
All conference sessions take place at the Venetian Palazzo Congress Center (VPCC). We conduct all sessions in English. All conference and session information is subject to change or cancellation.
